Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Consumer Response Representative located at our office in Richmond, VA.


The Consumer Response Representative, in accordance with Division quality standards, processes consumer letters/phone requests and Internet/Email/promotional inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.  The Consumer Response Representative handles all consumer cooking questions/inquiries, handles all consumer where-to-buy requests, handles all Risk Management complaints regarding property or bodily injury.  The Consumer Response Representative will have highly developed interaction skills are required to communicate at several different levels internally and externally.

 The Consumer Response Representative will be responsible for:


  • Supports the company service objectives by ensuring accurate and timely handling of customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Responds to consumer with appropriate answer regarding company policy, by letter, email or phone.
  • Answers manufacturing/non-manufacturing complaints from consumers using a database of over 300 letters.  Verifies all pertinent information with consumer.  Supplies replacement coupons/reimbursement when necessary.
  • Handles all complaints/inquiries through the email or Internet; follows up with requested information; channels all misdirected mail to other departments and divisions.
  • Responsible for handling unsolicited ideas submitted to the company. Determines nature of unsolicited idea, i.e., whether from an individual or a company.


Job Requirements

To be considered for the Consumer Response Representative opportunity, candidates should possess:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.


  • 2+ years of related professional customer service


  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to be patient and empathetic to consumers concerns and to act responsibility.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Regular attendance on-site at the customer service center is required
