The HR and Payroll Specialist will provide administrative support to the Jacksonville, Illinois location HR Team including; payroll processing, administration of benefits and other HR based activities. Responsible for providing reports and diversified clerical support to the Human Resource Team and other Managers as required.

The outstanding candidate will take ownership for Reynolds Payroll, People and Benefits!

Payroll

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payrolls
  • Run assigned payroll reports and audit and correct any errors or discrepancies
  • Create data reports utilizing Query, Word, Excel and Power Point

People

  • Supporting and providing exceptional service to employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Validates all information prior to entry to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Ensure proper maintenance of HR records

Benefits

  • Responsible for all system entry of new hires, status changes performance management/reviews & wage increases
  • Coordinate benefit orientations
  • Assist employees with benefit, payroll & policy questions or steer in appropriate direction to get answers

Job Requirements

To be considered for the Human Resources and Payroll Specialist opportunity, candidates should possess:

Education/Experience • AA degree in Human Resources or related field

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred • 4+ years of related professional and progressive generalist Human Resource experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Proficient in MS Office

  • Knowledge in Ceridian, ADP or other comparable software a plus
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information and sensitive issues
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams
